Little Chapel Church Policy for LCC Member Weddings

Little Chapel Church, located at 3859 HWY 34 North in Harrisburg, Illinois is the facility you have chosen for your wedding.  Members of the church may use the church facility for a bridal shower, wedding, or reception.

The trustees have adopted the following guidelines in order that our facility can be maintained in its current condition.  You are required to comply with these rules.  This consideration allows us to keep our facilities in a state of readiness for our worship services, scheduled events, and other church-sanctioned services.

Church programs come first in scheduling.  No church program will be deferred, cancelled, or re-scheduled to accommodate a wedding, rehearsal, or shower.  Contact the church receptionist between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Monday through Friday. If preparation for the wedding cannot be completed between these hours, special arrangements must be made in advance, through the church office.

The wedding party and guests will always keep in mind the holiness and sanctity of God’s house.  With that in mind, there will be no dancing, no smoking, no alcoholic beverages on the church grounds, or desecration of the church building.

Any weddings scheduled on a Saturday will conclude by 9:00 PM.  This will include the wedding, the reception, and all other activities. The church facilities are normally in a state of readiness for worship by Friday.  They must be returned to that condition before Sunday, so we ask that you remember that our facilities are primarily for worship and church-sanctioned use.

It is church policy that staff pastors perform all wedding ceremonies in the church.  They will not conduct “quick” weddings.  All couples must go through pre-marital counseling.  The prospective bride and groom are requested to schedule an appointment with the pastor at the earliest convenient time to talk over the wedding plans, the ceremony and other matters pertaining to this most important event.  There will be a mandatory $16.00 fee to cover processing fees for personal inventories.  They will then meet with mentors from the church body.  (Persons contemplating marriage should contact a staff pastor not less than six months prior to the proposed wedding date to (insure the use of the building and the pastor’s services).

Technical Services:  There will be a mandatory $75.00 fee to compensate qualified personnel to handle lighting and sound equipment for you.  They will be here for the rehearsal and the wedding.  This fee must be paid to the church at the time the contract is signed.  The church will then compensate them.

Musician Services:  If you choose to have a musician perform there will be a $75.00 fee.  That person will be here for the rehearsal and the wedding.  You are required to provide sheet music and / or sound tracks at least one month prior to the wedding.  This fee must be paid to the church at the time the contract is signed.  The church will then compensate them.  A staff pastor must approve all music.

LIABILITY

The wedding couple is responsible for any and all damages during the course of the preparation and the conduct of the wedding and the reception.  If decorators, florists, photographers, caterers, or others do any damage to the building or its contents, all costs for repair of damage will be the responsibility of the wedding party and repairs will be made to the specifications of the church.  The church assumes no liability for the personal items or money belonging to the wedding party and guests. Any costs incurred to clean and restore the facility to its original condition will be passed on the wedding couple.
