In
first grade we cover lots of the Bible stories and have review games to reinforce what the children have learned. There are
also a few adventure stories throughout the year about some young boys. Through these stories the plan of salvation is made
clear and the children learn that no one is too young to serve Jesus and make Christ-like decisions in their lives. We also
learn about a dozen scripture verses. These verses reinforce the stories and lessons covered in our class. We want the children
to realize that the Bible isn’t just stories but is full of life lessons, a guide for their lives. We have lots of puzzles,
games, and a big dry erase board for playtime now and then. Sometimes we use these to reinforce things we’ve been learning
such as: sharing, being honest, and treating each other with kindness.
